You Were Born For This by Bruce Wilkinson is a how-to book written in a very straightforward manner. Anyone who knows Bruce Wilkinson knows that he writes wonderful how-to books. He wrote The Prayer of Jabez which outlined how-to pray for miracles and blessings within your own life. Now he has written a how-to manual on how to be the receptacle that God uses to perform miracles and blessings for others. I had never gave much thought to the process required for God to use me as a partner in bestowing a blessing on someone else. However, after reading this book, I can actually visualize times that He used me as well as times when I missed the calling.
In the book of Esther, her uncle was the vehicle that God used to remind her that she had been born for a very important calling. Esther had been born for such as time as this – a time to bless her people by saving their lives. Although many of us would prefer to live a quiet and righteous life, it may be that God is calling one of you because “you were born for this!” If you have wondered about moments that seemed to be charged with heavenly wonder, then read this book. You will be inspired and changed by this how-to book!
