In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, “ I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” (Good News Bible)

The truth of this scripture is strongly evident in the life of Kristen Anderson, as told in “Life, in Spite of Me”. Kristen, a beautiful seventeen year old, was weighed down by various events that had occurred in the last 18 months. Her life was filled with pain and disappointment. She tried to find comfort in friends, alcohol and rebellion, but none of these things took the pain away. Kristen had grown up going to church and believed in an afterlife. “Heaven has to be better than this life.” she thought as she laid her body on the train tracks.

Because God had other plans for Kristen, her life was spared. During the healing process, Kristen came to the realization that she did not have the personal relationship with Jesus Christ was that necessary to get to heaven. After surrendering her heart and life to Jesus, God began to heal Kristen spiritually, physically, and mentally. He showed her that life was just beginning and that he could, and would; use her in a marvelous way to reach others who felt hopeless and full of despair.

“Life, in Spite of Me” is a touching true story that will captivate you from the first word to the last.
