David Platt and his books Radical and Radical Together have played a huge part in the paradigm shift that our church staff has experienced over the past 24 months. At a time when our church has been experiencing significant growth and a renewed passion and vision, Platt's stance on being "Radical" has been encouraging and liberating, and has played into significant financial decisions that we believe will have ramifications for the Kingdom and for our community for decades to come.

A Radical Idea is the pocket companion to Platt's other aforementioned works. Anyone who has read Radical or Radical Together will find nothing new in A Radical Idea. Rather, it will seem a rather pointless piece of print. However, for those wanting to be able to share the concepts presented in Radical, this little pocket paperback could be an asset. Rather than handing out "tracts" to unbelievers on the street, church leaders can easily hand out copies of A Radical Idea to congregation members as conversations arise. The book is tiny and is single-sitting read that will introduce anyone to the Radical concept. I am sure that we will find this a useful tool, especially as our off-site coffee house business grows and relationships formed there lead to conversations about the gospel and the church.
