In The Necessity of an Enemy Ron Carpenter tells how several challenges he faced helped him move to the next level of service for God.

He weaves the story of starting a ministry, "stealing" air conditioners (Yes, that's right!), and being sued for a different matter all helped him become what God was leading him to be.

He assures you through his stories, Bible characters, verses, etc., that difficulties in your life are the best thing that can happen to you.

This book comes with a study guide for groups which includes questions and prayers.

I highly recommend The Necessity of an Enemy.
