I got this book “Radical Together”, by David Platt, awhile back. Right around 5 months or so. Although I really liked radical his 1st book, this book really took some time to getting into it. The overall feel of this book is showing how old the 1st book came to be and his challenge to live a radical life for Christ. This might’ve been one of the problems of getting into it since I had already read the 1st book. In the beginning of this book David shares how he came to be at Brook Hills church, and how God sometimes does some pretty big things to move you into the position He has for you. In the book he shares some pretty radical ways to living out the faith. Although you do get a feel of who David is throughout the book and what he stands for. David is a person that really feels passionate about missions and reaching the world for Christ. He shares about reaching the lost in different countries and helping the poor. Although sometimes in those ideas the poor and unchristian in our country seem to take a back seat. After the beginning chapters David begins to set the foundation for what a radical life looks like. He asked the same question that Charles Sheldon asked in his book in his steps,” what would Jesus do?”. If you liked radical I would encourage you to read radical together. Although it took me many months to get through it I do totally enjoy David’s heart for ministry and for encouraging others to live a radical life.
