My initial reaction after reading this book was WOW, what a testimony of faith! I had never heard of the story of the fishermen and then for a Hollywood executive to feel driven to write about and tell their story at a time when he was questioning his own faith. I kept thinking as I read about the things that the fishermen had to do to survive and could I do the same? And while they were trying to simply find enough sustenance to survive the day, Mr. Kissack was overindulging in life's sins just to survive each day in his fast paced business world. It really made me stop and think. Am I thankful for what God has provided to me each day? This is a highly thought provoking book that makes you look at your own faith and life choices. I thought it was wonderfully written and I admire the author for his willingness to open up to the world and share his personal journey so that others can grow from his experience. Another great choice to read this summer. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book for review from Waterbrook Multnoma Publishers. I was not obligated to provide a positive review. The opinions in this review are my own.
