I really enjoyed this book and would recommend this lesson to anyone who is interested in recognizing fatal distractions that we have in our lives and to understand what the Bible has to say about them. This 6-week, 40 minute Bible study tackles six of the deadly sins: pride, anger, jealousy, gluttony, slothfulness, and greed. The layouts of these lessons are easy to study and are great to use with a small or large group study. My husband and I do this study together and it takes us about 45 minutes, so it is very close to the advertised 40 minutes.   Each study starts with a small opening introduction and then proceeds into the lesson. The lessons go back and forth between observing scriptures and then discussing some questions that are listed. You are encouraged to circle or box certain words in the verses to easier recognized the topics in the verses. There is a nice mix of questions and the lesson provides space to write notes and answers. Some questions were easy to answer and were clearly in the verses. Some other questions took quite a bit of thinking, but were rarely impossible to answer (we have come across one question we couldn't answer). The lessons then conclude with a "Wrap It Up" section that summaries what was discussed and concluded during the lesson.   I really liked that the study includes the Bible verses that are studied along the edge of the pages so that you don't need to flip between the lesson book and the Bible. Unfortunately, that means that you have to read the translation that is included in the book, which is the New American Standard Bible. Overall, this is a great study and I would highly recommend this book.
