I am always amazed that I am not alone when it comes to parenting issues. Kay Wills Wyma has 5 kids from the ages of four to fourteen. One day the fourteen-year-old made a single comment and Kay found herself taking her family down a path that would change the way they operated as a family AND change her children’s viewpoint on the importance of work.

I thoroughly enjoyed the honest and humorous adventures of her children. Each month a new task was introduced. As she described the cries that arose, I silently whispered, “Sister, I’ve been there!”

The book is spiced with wisdom from “The Ironing Board”. This group of wisdom has inspired and encouraged Kay to expect more of her children, giving them a sense of worth that just cannot be bought at the store.

In the end, Kay reminds us moms that our job isn’t over. It’s an everyday task of encouraging, teaching, training and pushing our children to reach their potentials. I cannot wait to start our own experiment…Let the Whining Begin!
