This was a first time read for me (not being Christian, having never read a book from this genre), and although the beginning was a little slow, and the bouncing from one point of view to another a little confusing once I got into the book it turned out to be very well written. I was lost on the time line, 9 months seems to be a really long time to survive at sea, but the fact they had something to hold on to and help them make it through each day was very grounding. The back story was one I could really connect with, and made me think about how many people really go through life everyday thinking they have it all and really be missing something important. In the end I really did find it to be an inspirational and touching story.
