"The Blessed Church" is a great read for a pastor, lay leader, or church member wanting insights on how to have a Spirit-filled church. The title is around 210 pages, contains 34 short chapters, and covers topics such as:

Righting the wrongs you don't like could be one of the keys for your ministry's vision. A vision God can bless is a vision you allow Him to give to you. The true shepherd models where he wants the sheep to go. Do not sacrifice your family for the ministry. Jesus had His followers watch Him do ministry, performed ministry with them, and then sent them out to do ministry. Only people who are secure in who they are in God are able to serve others. Power in the church lies with its head - Jesus Christ. Having a regular sabbath rest is good for your body and soul. Trying to have a Sunday worship service resemble a shwo that the world offers is a fruitless and foolish endeavor. Spending time in God's presence is the first and most vital part of the pastor's job description.

The narrative flows smoothly and the author writes in a way that you feel like he is in the room with you.

Highly recommended.
