I received this book free of any charges by Waterbrook Multnomah in exchange for my honest opinion which I freely give.

Be Still My Soul is a historical christian fiction book I would highly recommend to any historical fiction lovers. It is a page turner that incites the reader to cheer for Lonnie the main character in the book and hiss at the antics of Gideon the othe main character this book. I liked the book as you can find yourself as one of the characters.

Lonnie is a girl from a backwoods Blue Ridge Mountain town in Virginia and is as simple a girl as they come. Along comes Gideon who steals a kiss and when her father finds out a quick fast marriage is in the works.

Gideon is not at all excited about the marriage or Lonnie and as the reader will see his actions clearly show his worth.

This is the story of heartbreak and broken dreams that with the grace of God are turned around and good comes out of this marriage as hearts change for the better.
