I began reading this book with an open mind and an expectation of receiving good advice that I could use for the church that I pastor. The author started off well, but by the time he got halfway through he was no longer talking about "The Blessed Church" but his own church, Gateway. I got so tired of reading about how his church does things that I found myself numerous times wanting to quit reading, but I trudged on. This was not a book on how to become a blessed church but how to become a satellite church of Gateway. All in all, I did gain some helpful insights. These, however, did not come from the author's poor use of scripture taken out of context. I received encouragement at the end for which I am very grateful.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
