This book reminds us that pets specifically, but in general any animal can greatly influence our lives, as this book and life experience revels. Pets tend to become members of our family. In watching and interacting with them we can learn so much about them, ourselves, and yes God too.

James Robison and his son have taken those observations and strung them together in a light, humorous, thought-provoking little book that features Princess, Heidi, Hersey and numerous wild animals to bring truths about God to the hearts and minds of each reader.

Even though I laughed at Princess’ antics in more than one place, please note that if you are tenderhearted you might very well find the need for a handkerchief or box of tissues in a few places too.

Every chapter covers a separate topic, twenty-eight in all. It is a little book packed full of love and lessons learned.

I found the chapter about the blind dog uplifting not because of the dog, but because of the insight James shared from having that encounter. The chapter on saying good-bye was especially difficult for me to read. It dipped into pains from past losses. It took three attempts to get through it, I was reading it out loud to a family member and kept choking up with tears. The message in that chapter is one we each need to remember. Overall I found every chapter’s message clearly shared and worth reading.

It was a joy to read ‘God of Creation’ and I recommend it to one and all.
